Editorial Policy
FinCalc publishes calculators and educational articles to help readers understand personal finance topics. This policy explains how content is created, reviewed, and updated.
1) Content Principles
- Clarity over jargon. We explain concepts in plain English.
- Accuracy over speed. If data is uncertain, we say so.
- Actionable guidance without personalized advice.
2) AI Assistance Disclosure
Some articles are produced with AI assistance. Drafts pass automated checks for structure and required fields, and are reviewed by a human when possible. We do not claim human authorship for AI-generated text.
For how we define calculator assumptions and update parameters, see our Methodology page.
3) Sources and Citations
Articles list sources used in writing. We prioritize primary sources (government agencies, regulators, official releases) and reputable financial publications. If a claim cannot be supported, it is removed or clearly labeled as a scenario or estimate.
4) Corrections
If you find a factual error, please contact us. We will review and update the article, and note the update date on the page.
5) Updates
Some topics change frequently (rates, limits, rules). We aim to review high-impact articles regularly and update them when new information is available.
6) Contact
